Auto Conversations
Zurple's Auto Conversations are automated emails sent to your leads based on their activity on your website, or based on the specific properties they're browsing (e.g., condo or price).
- The goal of these automated emails is lead engagement, and these emails are designed to look like you typed it up yourself, if you think they look plain, that's by design.
- Auto Conversations emails are written, tested, and optimized by our Marketing Analytics Team to ensure the best response rate from your leads and therefore they are not customizable.
- Since these messages are constantly being optimized and we are always adding new templates, Zurple cannot provide a list of these messages.
You can view sent Auto Conversations in the Zurple Messages section of the lead detail page.

💡 If a lead provides a phone number, Zurple will send automated SMS text messages in addition to the Auto Conversations emails. You'll see a small phone icon that indicates a text message.
The lead status will determine whether or not they will receive Auto Conversations emails. Learn more about lead status
If you are actively communicating with your lead, move them into the Client – Active Opportunity status to stop automated agent emails from being sent.
SMS Auto Conversations
When a lead provides a phone number, Zurple also engages them with text message Auto Conversations. These messages are designed to generate engagement and lead replies, and will automatically go out within the first 24 hours.
You can view sent SMS Auto Conversations in the My Messages section of the lead details.

💡 You can view the SMS messages in the Campaign Manager, however since we've tested and optimized these messages, they cannot be edited or updated.
Lead Replies
When a lead replies to a text message, you'll get a notification that will include a link to the new SMS chat log, where you can keep the conversation going. This chat log will store all the text messages to and from your leads, and you'll be able to access it from the lead details.

Video Emails
Want to boost your new lead engagement? You can add video to your Auto Conversations emails right from your Zurple system.
🚨 You'll need a YouTube channel to create and host these videos. If you already have one, you'll be prompted to connect your channel to your Zurple system. If you don't have one, you'll need to create one. Learn how
To record an Auto Conversations video for new leads, click Video Manager from the Marketing menu. Here you'll see three types of Auto Conversations video you can use: new buyer lead, new seller leads, and leads that have moved into the Nurture status.

To record a video, or choose an existing video you've already recorded, click the Record or Insert Video button for the type of lead you want to engage:
- If you have a YouTube channel that's already connected to your Zurple system, you'll be able to start recording
- If you do not have a YouTube channel, you'll need to create one first
- If you have a YouTube channel that is NOT connected, you'll be prompted to connect it at this time:

🚨 You will only be able to insert videos you've recorded from your Zurple system. You will not be able to insert existing videos that live in your YouTube channel.
Once you've recorded your video, you'll be able to insert it into your email. Here are a few tips for your videos:
- Keep it brief and aim for 45 seconds or less.
- Don't sell, this is not a time to get them in the car to look at homes, it's an opportunity to introduce yourself and make a great impression.
- Ask them a question, but leave it generic enough to apply to any new leads (e.g. preferred contact method, do they own a home, do they have questions, how long have they lived in their home, etc.)
- Make sure you have a decent camera and good lighting, otherwise this does not need to be a super polished video! It's supposed to feel personal, like you recorded it just for them.
- Here are a few scripts to get your creative juices flowing:
Buyer Leads
"Hi, I’m [your name], the local real estate expert in [area], and I just wanted to introduce myself. Feel free to browse properties and neighborhood information on my site. I don’t want to bother you, but if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Also, take a moment to let me know your preferred contact method. Thanks, and happy house hunting!"
Seller Leads
"Hi there, I’m [your name], listing expert in [area]. You recently requested a home valuation, so I’m in the process of putting something together for you. In the meantime, since I haven’t physically seen the home you inquired about, let me know if you’ve done any upgrades or if there’s anything that makes your home unique. I look forward to learning more about your home!"
Nurture Leads
"Hi, it’s [your name]. I wanted to check in and see how your home search is going. Have you found what you’re looking for, or are you still looking? Either way, you can find up-to-date MLS listings on my website, as well as neighborhood info and sold homes. I want to make sure I’m sending the most relevant listings, so let me know if I can adjust your search criteria. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you."
If you've already already recorded an intro video you want to use, click Select Video from the record screen. Here you can check the box for the video you'd like to use, then click Insert at the bottom of the window.
Now the video you've recorded or selected will be included in Auto Conversations to new leads. Here are some advanced tips for your videos:
Video Name
- You must name your video in order to save it, however you can edit the video name by clicking the All Videos button.
- Click the Edit icon for the video you wish to rename

🚨 The video name will be visible to anyone who views your videos
Video Thumbnail
- To change the video thumbnail, go to your YouTube channel and click Your Videos on the left, then click on the video you want to update.
- In the Thumbnail section, you can choose from a group of preset thumbnails, or upload your own image to use as the thumbnail.
- When you’re finished, click Save.
Video Branding
- To add a logo to your Zurple videos, go to your YouTube channel and click Customize Channel, then click Branding.
- In the Video Watermark section, click Upload to find and upload an image or logo to use; a small square works best here, no long or rectangular logos (if you don't have a square version of your logo, we recommend creating one if you want it on your videos).
- Next select when you'd like the logo to appear (since it's small, we recommend selecting the entire video).
🚨 In order for your logo to appear on all of your videos, you must select "No, it's not made for kids" in your video settings. Otherwise your logo will not appear.
Once you have your videos recorded, you can also use them to send to individual leads manually. Learn more
Viewing Your Video
When a lead receives your video email, the video will appear as an animated gif with a play/pause button. Clicking this will take them to a video landing page on your website where they can play the video, send a message, and view properties right from there.

Your Email Signature
Since the Auto Conversations emails are created and optimized by Zurple, the email signature for this email will only include your name, brokerage, contact information, and your DRE/BRE number to meet compliance standards (if applicable). You can review and edit this information in the profile settings:

💡 The very first email message sent to new leads will contain your photo and brokerage logo, but any Auto Conversations emails sent thereafter will only contain your text signature.
Lead Replies
When a lead replies to an automated agent email, their response will be logged in the Lead Messages section of the lead details page:

Zurple doesn’t replace you in the process; it provides more opportunities for you to develop relationships with your buyers. When a lead responds to one of the automated agent emails, it's up to you to reply and continue to cultivate the relationship.
